Emma Hardie’s new anti-ageing face cream: a bra for wrinkly skin?

Admittedly, Emma Hardie Age Support Treatment Cream, ￡42 (available from June) was developed with the 50+ in mind, but its natural power peptides and hydrating hyaluronic acid can offer some serious benefits for people who are rocking in a corner at the thought of being dragged kicking and screaming into their thirties (me).?

So the bra bit of the cream (the ingredient that lifts) is a micro-algae film. It’s used in the food industry apparently, so it’s edible (lick your face cream off anyone?).

It also contains hyaluronic acid spheres. Hyaluronic acid is produced naturally within the skin by our fibroblasts and is the key hydrator in most good face creams. The spheres in Emma's cream actually contain dehydrated hyaluronic acid, which absorbs your skin’s natural moisture, causes the spheres to swell, and fills your fine lines and wrinkles! The hydrated spheres then act as a reservoir for the skin, feeding moisture back into it throughout the day. Clever stuff.?

I know I’m being a tad dramatic about my big fat 3-0, but it’s nice to know there are more and more natural products launching that promise to see off signs of ageing in a non-toxic way.?
